Subscription cost calculator

Add each recurring charge. See its yearly cost, then mark anything you might cancel to model the difference.

Your subscriptions

Use one currency for every row. Changing this selector changes labels only; it does not convert exchange rates.

This calculator does not send or save your entries. Reloading clears them. Include taxes in each amount if you want them counted.

The arithmetic, in plain sight

For each row, annual equivalent = charge × billing periods per year. The calculator uses 52 for weekly charges, 12 for monthly, 4 for quarterly and 1 for annual. Monthly equivalent = annual equivalent ÷ 12. Projected annual difference is the sum of annual equivalents for rows marked “Cancel”.

Illustrative examples — not actual provider prices
Entered chargeCalculationAnnual equivalent
$10 monthly10 × 12$120
$5 weekly5 × 52$260
$90 annually90 × 1$90

Weekly normalization is deliberately 52 periods, not an exact calendar forecast. A particular year can contain a different number of charge dates. Inputs are rounded to two decimal places; displayed totals use two decimal places.

Before you cancel

Check the next renewal date, whether the charge is prepaid, and the provider’s cancellation and refund terms. If a service covers several people, discuss the change with them. An annualized difference does not necessarily become a refund or immediate saving.

What to do with the result

Compare the annual total with the amount you intended to spend on recurring services. For broader planning, explore the budgeting-apps desk or browse our guides. This calculator compares your inputs; it does not rate or recommend a product.
