Budgeting Apps: A Practical Decision Guide
Choose a workflow, check household visibility and compare recurring costs using sources and your own figures.
Start with the task: recording spending, planning categories, sharing household bills or reviewing recurring costs. Then decide how much manual work you will do and whether an account connection is appropriate. This hub no longer presents unsupported test rankings.
Choose your next step

- A privacy-document checklist
- A manual workflow without a bank connection

Understand what a review establishes
The Monarch review examines published household-access rules. It does not claim a paid account trial or a measured score. Our evidence standard distinguishes documented facts, hypothetical examples and actual tests.
A correction to the former hub
The earlier hub repeated an unsupported eight-app accuracy benchmark, test-based endorsements and unverified price history. Those claims have been removed. The old CSV is now labelled as a synthetic arithmetic example, not a record of real product performance. Details are in the corrections log.
